The BMW 2 Series (G42) is the second generation of the BMW 2 Series executive coupé, launched late in 2021. It is the first BMW designed by BMW Mexico and is produced in the BMW San Luis Potosí. This generation remains a rear-wheel drive, but the M Model comes with AWD. It is no longer available as a manual transmission, featuring only the excellent 8-Speed Steptronic and Steptronic Sport drives. It is also no longer available as a convertible, with BMW opting for the more rigid coupé body shape. It is available in the following trim levels:
