First Generation Toyota Avanza 2003–2011
Launched in 2003, and available in only two models, namely the 1.3 E and 1.3 G, the first generation Toyota Avanza was an instant hit thanks to its affordability and trusted Toyota brand name. This popularity led to the introduction of an Automatic Toyota Avanza in 2004, and a refresh (both internally and externally) in 2006. The new look Avanza now included a range of new engine options and the introduction of a new anti-lock braking system. The first generation of Toyota Avanza was designed by Daihatsu and marketed by Toyota under the Avanza brand name.
