First Generation Mazda CX-5 2012 – 2017
Originally launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011, the first-generation CX-5 quickly became one of the Mazda Brands top-selling vehicles. In 2016 the CX-5 received a facelift which not only included updates to the exterior styling, but also offered improved road noise reduction, an upgraded infotainment system and the introduction of a sports mode for the top of the range six speed automatic transmission model variants. An optional Mazda CX-5 Tech Package was also offered to all new vehicle sales. Did You Know? The first generation Mazda CX-5 was the vehicle which introduced the world to Mazda’s new KODO Soul of Motion Design Language. This new look design was unveiled as the Shinari concept vehicle which was showcased in 2011 and evolved into the production model CX-5 which launched a year later in 2012.
