Hyundai launched the second generation version of the Grand i10 model in October 2020 in SA. It was launched to great acclaim for its dynamic styling, premium quality, and refined road manners. Available in the basic 1.0 Motion and the top-spec 1.2 Fluid automatic, the Hyundai Grand i10 has continually evolved to meet the needs of South African drivers, offering a blend of style, comfort, and advanced features at a competitive price point. The Grand i10 Cargo was also updated and launched in 2021 in SA. Facelift (Not Available in SA)A facelift was unveiled on 27 February 2023. The model benefits from mild visual tweaks including new colour combinations, updated front and rear bumpers, new alloy wheel designs, updated upholstery and additional tech features. Production of the facelifted Hyundai i10 will commence in April 2023 in Izmit, Turkey. Did You Know? This is the first-generation Hyundai Grand i10 worldwide, but is also sold as the i10 in regions that have discontinued the entry-level Hyundai i10 that is still available in South Africa. There are however two subtle differences between the current international i10 and the Grand i10. Firstly, the Grand i10 is packed full of features that are generally more commonplace in luxury cars. Secondly, the Grand i10 has had its wheelbase increased by 100 mm. Added to this is the fact that the Grand i10 offers even more bang for your buck than its competitors, provides high-end safety and comfort, and has a driveability that is perfectly suited to South Africa’s busy roads and harsh climates.
