For an entire decade the First Generation VW Tiguan was one of the top selling COV’s in the world. Available in Trendline, Comfortline, and Highline and Highline with an optional Sport Package trim levels this version of the Tiguan shared a number of build features with the Volkswagen Passat B6 model type. In July 2011 the Tiguan received a major facelift for the 2012 year model which included bolder and more angular headlights, more prominent horizontal grille bars and angular rear light clusters. Overall mechanical and fuel consumption performance was also enhanced and a three spoke steering wheel was introduced. Did You Know? Within these model variants are a number of distinctly different trim levels as well as engine variants. Trim level variants include the Trendline, Comfortline and the Highline. Q: What are the VW Tiguans safety features?
A: The Tiguan Safety Features include fatigue detection “Rest Assist”, airbags for driver and front passenger (with front passenger airbag deactivation), front and rear curtain airbags including front side airbags, ISOFIX attachment points, 3-point seat belts and daytime running lights. There are also model and trim level specific Tiguan Safety Features which are exclusive to specific models.
Q: Does the VW Tiguan have an Automatic Transmission option?
A: Yes, there are two model and trim level specific automatic transmission options available thanks to the 6-speed DSG® and 7-speed DSG® transmissions found in the Tiguan.
